Abstract :
Texture image retrieval plays an very important role in content based image retrieval . We propose a new texture image retrieval method by extend the Refined Histogram(RH) to model the magnitude of complex coefficients of double density dual tree wavelet transform(DD-DT CWT). To justified the extention of RH, we provide an in-depth analysis of the relationship between nonuniform quantizer and RH.. The advantage of this methods is that it is an combination of the efficient , effective RH and the shift-invariant DD-DT CWT. Experimental results on the well-known database reveal the superior performance of the proposed method compared with the current existing approaches.
