Abstract :
The Wireless1394 Home-Link has been considered as wireless version of IEEE1394 in Japan. In this paper, we propose a coding policy for Wireless1394, in order to obtain both high performance of bit error rate (BER) and high data rate. Wireless1394 will also have two types of stream, asynchronous and isochronous, as well as IEEE1394. We propose hybrid-coding which uses a distinct code to each stream, because the required BER performance will be different. We propose code-distinction at the receiver for recognizing the code of received packet. The performance of the proposed system is evaluated using numerical analysis and computer simulation for indoor environment with Rician fading. It has been shown that the proposed system is effective
