Abstract :
For DS/CDMA systems, initial PN acquisition is one of the most important parts of the system performance. An algorithm using auxiliary code is one of the recent theories among the many proposals. A recent paper using auxiliary code is based on the coherent scheme, but in this paper, we suggest an algorithm using auxiliary code for noncoherent acquisition of DS/CDMA systems. The noncoherent scheme is more suitable for practical system realization and is robust in various channel environments. We analyze the effects of channel environments on the proposed algorithm and perform numerical analysis and computer simulation. Finally we derive the detection probability and false alarm probability of the proposed algorithm
