Abstract :
This paper investigates the BER performance of MSK-OFDM in Nakagami-m channel model by considering ideal MSK. The performance comparison between MSK and MSK-OFDM has been evaluated. FFT size, n of 128, 256 and 512 sub-carriers was used and zero padded was chosen instead of cyclic prefix as a guard band at the shape factor m = 1 based on WiMAX specifications. The simulation results have shown that using n=128, the MSK-OFDM provided the best performance compared to other FFT points at high value of EbNo but n=256 and 512 give better BER performance at low EbNo. Zero padded could not resolve multipath effect efficiently which made BER to be saturated when EbNo was above 15 dB.
