Abstract :
In this paper, a kind of new technique for precisely diagnosing water stress in plants was introduced. It was based on a novel microwave sensor. The microwave sensor can be used to detect the moisture in materials accurately. Leaves contain the information of plant water status. It could be indicated if water stress happen in the plant. There is a microwave resonant cavity in the microwave sensor. When detecting plant water status, the sensor is put to a leaf of plants. According to resonant curve of the microwave sensor, the plant water, also water stress in plants can be detected precisely. The theoretical principle and experiments of detecting plant water were introduced also. The study shown the results of experiments were better matched with theoretical computation
