Abstract :
The Model 36 controller improves on total accelerator design by extending the boundary of ´where the power supply ends´. The Model 36 moves the boundary out a level and actually provides more control over only two twisted pairs of wires. The authors review some of the major features of the controller and show some of the reasoning behind them. Areas such as precision, serviceability, interfacing and versatility in different applications are discussed. Technical aspects regarding the past, present, and future or power supply controllers are presented.<>
