Abstract :
Radar distance measurer (gauge) works in 8-mm band and allows highly accurate measuring of small distances. The gauge emits quasi-continuous frequency-modulated signal. Processing includes fast Fourier transform and special algorithms for raising accuracy of measurement. Principles of construction, technical characteristics and design features are given. The gauge can be used for fluid level measurement in reservoirs, storage and shifts in hydro-technical dams.
