Abstract
In this paper, we present simulation results on GSM cellular system performances and investigate a dynamic channel allocation (DCA) technique based on GSM metrics RXLEV and RXQUAL. The proposed DCA strategy is combined with a classical slow frequency hopping (SFH) scheme to improve the radio link quality and to provide higher capacity. Results are evaluated in terms of C/I cumulative distribution function (CDF) and frame error rate (FER)
