Abstract :
The authors want to isolate e-waves using their Fourier spectrums. The electroretinograms are averaged. A 4 Hz flash stimulus is used and a first spectral set (the fundamental´s amplitude at 4 Hz is taken as reference) is determined. Next, the e-waves are suppressed (linear interpolation) and a second spectral set is determined. e-wave characteristic spectrums are obtained from the difference between sets (linear operation). The true period of e-waves, in this case 7 ms, is determined theoretically. The energetic contribution of each harmonic is given.<>
