Abstract :
The aim of this work is to propose such a framework, called BenchMaker, for constructing synthetic benchmarks whose code properties can be easily altered. BenchMaker enables altering inherent workload characteristics of a program by varying a limited number (40 in total) of key microarchitecture- independent program characteristics - changing the workload behavior is done by simply ´turning knobs´.
