  • Abstract
So far, the authors´ group have developed a pitching control method for electric vehicle (EV) based on the quick torque response of motors in order to improve the driving comfort. In this paper, a novel estimation method of braking torque is proposed to generate ideal vehicle acceleration for pitching control. The acceleration reference can be obtained from the estimated braking torque, motor torque, and wheel acceleration. Experiments are carried out with an EV to show the effectiveness of proposed method when the vehicle is braking and stopping.
