Abstract :
One of the important issues concerning ITER wall material interactions is the diverter response against the ELMs (Edge Localized Modes). To investigate the response against the ELM-like electron beam thermal loads, various candidate materials for reactor walls were irradiated with an electron beam apparatus at JAEA Naka Laboratory (JEBIS). The ablated surface thickness and the transient surface temperature were measured and compared under the various irradiation conditions.
