Abstract :
In this study, the 5´ terminus of ldhL gene in Lactobacillus casei ATCC 334 was fused to the 3´ terminus of pdc gene promoter (Ppdc) part in Zymomonas mobilis ATCC 10988 by recombinant PCR. The fusion gene Ppdc-ldhL was integrated in broad-host-range plasmid pBBR1MCS3, transformed by electroporation and expressed in Z. mobilis ATCC 10988. The primary expression of heterologous lactate dehydrogenase in Z. mobilis lays the foundation to expand the application range of higher value products by Z. mobilis.
