Abstract :
A family of “multi-length”, constant-weight frequency-hopping codes is constructed in this paper. The new codes are suitable for the integration of multimedia services (e.g., data, voice, image, and video) with different quality-of-service requirements and signaling rates in future telecommunication systems, where the rate and service quality are dynamically matched users´ needs through the assignment of different-length frequency-hopping patterns. The use of the new codes in multi-rate, multimedia systems with frequency-hopping code-division multiple-access is illustrated
