  • Abstract
This paper centers on DSA-based OFDM systems and proposes a symbol timing synchronization scheme that enhances a correlation-based simple-implementation-available timing estimation scheme by featuring fine-synchronization of the detected symbol timing and clock frequency difference compensation. Specifically, it is well utilized that clock frequency difference between AP and MT is detected by using the output response of the averaging circuit which filters the detected symbol timing. Simulation results verify that the proposed scheme is beneficial for MTs which support a sleeping mode as well as need to cope with shadowing
