Abstract
In this paper, topology exchange between the KY converter and its derivative is presented herein so as to tackle the wide input voltage range and hence to increase the system control reliability. Since the KY converter, 1-plus-D converter, is a nonisolated voltage-boosting converter with buck-type behavior, its derivative, 1-plus-2D converter, also possesses fast transient responses. And hence, the proposed topology exchange control strategy can make each other transferred smoothly. Some experimental results are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.
