Abstract :
The paper presents a receiver front-end MMIC intended for the operation in the license free ISM band from 24 GHz to 24.25 GHz. The front-end circuit combines an LC oscillator with down conversion mixer, low pass filter and IF amplifier. To enable low cost the small-sized chip (650Ã650 mm2) was fabricated in SiGe BiCMOS technology. The MMIC has solder bumps for flip-chip mounting on a PC board.
