Abstract :
Recent advances in the radar system design allow to perform Doppler and polarimetric measurements simultaneously. This paper considers behaviour of different Doppler-Polarimetric parameters, such as slope of differential reflectivity, differential Doppler velocity, Doppler spectrum width, and mean Doppler velocity. Possibility of combining both polarimetric and pure Doppler measurements opens new horizons in turbulence and precipitation study. More and more new techniques appear every year. This paper describes some of these methods.
