  • Abstract
The application of low energy wireless sensor networks into manufacturing industrial monitoring system is receiving increasing attentions from both the research and industrial communities. However, there are great challenges to meet multi-objective transmission requirements in industrial monitoring WSNs. This paper proposes a Pareto based multi-optimization approach POCTP (Pareto Optimal Collection Tree Protocol) to ensure QoS (e.g. transmission throughput, delay, loss of packets). Unique Pareto route set based routing framework, including link quality estimator, routing setting up and routing engine, is put forwarded grounding on the collection tree protocol (CTP). Furthermore, comprehensive and reasonable hierarchical Petri net based verification model is set up and the behavior of the routing algorithm is illustrated. Then, the proposed optimization scheme is applied into an industrial monitoring scenario to optimize main performance measures of monitoring networks. Finally, the simulation results prove the correctness and scalability of the algorithm.
