Abstract :
Nowadays, security is a critical need of finding accurate in different field such as access to secure facilities or other resources, and even criminal/terrorist identification in the Global War on Terror. Biometric recognition technology, which identifies people through their unique features, becomes hot recently due to its convenience and efficiency. Iris identification is one of the most promising techniques in authentication .The richness and apparent stability of the iris texture makes it a robust biometric trait for personal recognition. We plan to implement an iris recognition biometric algorithm in a system on chip (So C)We are interesting in studying a reconfigurable platform. We focus in Hardware/ Software implementation impact on the recognition system performance. We study the application "Hamming distance" used in phase of Matching of the iris recognition algorithm and we use the FPGA board.
