  • Abstract
Stretchable strain sensor can be used as wearable motion detection device and the sensing element of flexible pressure sensor. We made the stretchable strain sensor by single-step direct transfer/patterning process which is simple and low-cost fabrication method. Metal nanoparticle ink as sensing material was transferred onto polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) and the opening/closure of its micro-cracks is believed to be the mechanism of our stretchable strain sensor. Also, we demonstrated the potential of stretchable strain sensor as human motion detector and flexible pressure sensor.
