Abstract
The author describes the process through which ISDN (integrated services digital network) currently is being implemented in the US. He highlights various risks associated with the current process. He examines the industry´s implementation of ISDN and the complexities associated with evolving a nationwide network within the context of a regionally segmented industry. Finally, arguments are presented concerning why ISDN should be considered a national imperative
