The Community Website Design Based on Complementary Advantages of Web2.0 and Web1.0

With the wide adoption of Web 2.0, the community Web sites have become catching on in recent years. However, most of them are facing some problems that need to be addressed before they can achieve fast development. In this paper, we first introduce the concepts of community Web site and comparison of Web 2.0 and Web 1.0. Then, the characteristics and operation modes of community Web sites are analyzed through two successful Web sites, Myspace and Xiaonei. Finally, a model of e-commerce learning Web site is proposed to demonstrate the design ideas and architecture of community Web site based on the combination of the advantages of Web 2.0 and Web 1.0.
