Abstract
A new generation of electromagnetic absorber, which has pyramid shape and is 10 cm in height and has good absorbing characteristics in the range of high frequency range, was developed to satisfy the requirements of anechoic chambers. It was formed by a foaming process following sintering. When it was composed on a conventional ferrite tile, excellent absorbing characteristics over 20 dB were obtained in a wide range of frequency. At the same time, an anechoic chamber using foamed ferrite presented excellent uniformity of electromagnetic field strength
