Abstract :
A microfluidic platform with integrated reader antennas was developed as a near field wireless read-out and charging station for miniaturized radio frequency identification (RFID) tags. Also, electrically ultra-small multilayer spiral on-chip antennas (380×380×15μm3@0.6GHz) for miniaturized tags were developed and the antenna performances were demonstrated by in-channel coupling, and ex-channel data transfer and charging experiments.
