Abstract :
Measuring permittivity and permeability of materials with the free space method is effective at higher frequencies because precisely shaped samples are less necessary. However, in the millimeter-wave range, accurate measurement is difficult because of the increase of errors in phase measurement. In this paper, the authors propose a method for phase error correction, which has been tested in actual measurements to confirm the effectiveness, and applied to a design for some millimeter wave absorbers
