  • Abstract
This paper presents a novel prototype of a new conceptual electromagnetic induction fluid heating appliance using a series capacitor-compensated load resonant high-frequency inverter with a phase-shifted PWM and a power factor correction scheme. Its operating characteristics in steady-state are illustrated and evaluated on the basis of its computer simulation and experimental results. The promising cost effective application of this electromagnetic induction-heated fluid-heating appliances is proposed, which is more acceptable and suitable for industrial, chemical and consumer energy processing utilizations from a practical point of view
