Abstract :
A passive UHF RFID tag RF front-end with a low power CMOS magnetic sensor is presented in this paper. The front-end consists of a rectifier, a regulator, a modem, a clock generator and a magnetic sensor. The front-end is compatible with EPC Gen2 and its operating frequency range is 800~1000-MHz. The magnetic field sensitive device is magnetic MOSFET. The magnetic sensor is composed of a magnetic MOSFET mirror, an amplifier, a voltage-current converter and a current control oscillator. The front-end is implemented in a mixed signal 1p4m 0.35mum CMOS technology. The lowest RF input power is -14dBm. The sensitivity of the sensor is 12%/mT, the lowest resolution is 1mT and the measuring range is plusmn50mT. The lowest dc power consumption of the sensor is only 0.5muA at 1.3V supply voltage
