Abstract :
We discuss the error propagation properties of the embedded zerotree wavelet (EZW) algorithm and present an approach using a depth-first search (DFS) representation of the EZW algorithm. We discuss the characteristics of the DFS representation relating to error resistant performance and also perform empirical analysis on the EZW without some of those components that will lead to propagation of errors
