Abstract
We investigates the adaptation of FEC code rate, specifically Reed-Solomon codes, to channel error conditions in a wireless ATM network environment. A hybrid ARQ adaptive algorithm is introduced and the protocol throughput performance is optimized subject to the satisfaction of key QoS requirements like delay and cell loss ratio of real-time connections. Simulation shows the effectiveness of the algorithm
