Abstract :
This work aimed to optimize a hybrid tubular linear stepping motor characteristics. The global optimization problem formulation had take account thermal, mechanical and magnetic constraints in order to minimize the weight and losses of the machine. The contribution of the machine weight and losses minimization is principally a cost decrease and a clutter reduction that permits its integration in small systems. An analytic model coupled with Genetic Algorithm and using the efficient weighted sum method has entailed conclusive results. The comparison of simulation results permitted to select the optimal geometrical and electrical parameters.
