Abstract :
In the paper, the problem of acceleration of fractal compression algorithm is considered, as it is the most exotic technologies in the computer image processing. The algorithm is based on search of local self-similarity of separate image elements. Thus the image is partitioned into separate blocks. The analysis of reduction methods of calculations using DCT is resulted.
