Abstract :
Polarimetric data can be used to extract physical and geometrical parameters of surface targets, and to decompose their scattering process into three independent parts: Single, double, and cross scattering. The combination of this information is very useful for lithological identification and classification. This paper uses SIR-C L- and C-band polarimetric data, and builds a multi-layer algorithm of lithological classification
