Abstract
A comprehensive dynamic analysis of center-driven web winder controls is presented in this paper. First, the modeling and dynamic behavior of the winder systems are described. Then, different control strategies are analyzed and discussed. Simulation results are also presented to illustrate the dynamic behavior of different control strategies. Finally, considerations for selecting proper control strategies are suggested
