Abstract
The construction quality risk is one of the important objectives to be controlled, resulting in the progress, of safety and the investment object out of control. The construction quality risk is researched in the paper by risk identification and rough set (RS)-based database technique. Data were collected from the questionnaire feedbacks from different participants (clients, designers, contractors, consultants) of the project and 14 quality risk factors is conducted. RS based on information entropy is used in the factor analysis to simplify the variables into several dimensions. The results indicate that the operation level of works, machinery and equipment performance, project management environment, etc. are the important factors, and that many risk factors are correlative and precautionary measures should be taken to reduce the risks in construction quality. These conclusions have provided a decision-making foundation for project groups in their management.
