Abstract :
This paper handles the supervised equalization of a single input single output (SISO) linear communication channel. The proposed equalizer is built on generalized orthogonal basis (GOB). The yielded equalizer called generalized orthogonal basis equalizer is tested on simulation for a linear numerical communication channel described by a transfer function and the GOB equalizer is tested in simulation where we study the performance of the equalizer developed (constellation of the output of the equalizer and mean square error MSE) and the noise effect. The GOB provides a reduced complexity equalizer and the GOB equalizer was compared to a Laguerre and FIR equalizer and the results are successful.
