Abstract
This paper presents the use of the coupled electric circuit with two-dimensional finite element electromagnetic field analysis (FEA) for determining the parameters of two-axis model of a three-phase cage induction motor. The designed geometric dimension of induction motor is modelled in the finite element domain. Each rotor conductor is connected in parallel and a resistance and an inductance are added to account the end-ring effect. The inductances and the resistances are determined directly from the circuit electric coupled with work domain of FEA. The program is developed by using Ansys software.
