Abstract :
In recent years, image monitoring is widely applied in many fields of power system and gets plentiful and substantial success. The image videos relating to some key information and, especially, the image analyzing strategies used by power system in monitoring substation running oddity status. In this paper, a practical remote image monitoring system architecture is proposed. Distinguished with general image monitoring system, which usually acquires the remote substation images and transmits to the dispatching center, the characteristic of new monitoring and diagnosis system is pretreatment and recognition the image at first. And then via the images comparing and processing, the oddity running status of substation can be detected from the image, only the oddity alarmed signal and image videos of correspondence are transmitted automatically to the remote dispatching center by communication network. In dispatching center, as the alarm´s giving, the dispatcher starts with examining the substation image videos to certain its running status.
