  • Abstract
In this work it is shown that the capacitance of commercial capacitors are dependent basically on two parameters: the voltage applied and temperature. The study of this dependence is essential for applications of commercial ceramic capacitors in nonlinear transmission lines used for RF generation working on rep-rate cycles of charge and discharge. To accomplish that, two basic circuits are described to measure the capacitance on static conditions (over dc voltage variation) and on dynamic conditions (under a fixed pulse repetition rate with temperature increase).
