Abstract :
In this paper the conformation of the cross-linked XLPE electrical cable and the attended mode of it is mainly presented. As vectors of the same frequency can be calculated, the current got from the sensors are inverted to direct-viewing leakage current of each segment through vector calculation. So the insulation condition of each segment can be known directly. This paper introduces a standard unit of cross-linked XLPE electrical cable and its equivalent circuit. According to the simulated result of the vectors, the vectors of sensors current and the equivalent circuit, the vectors of the leakage current of every segment can be gained. It is the basic of the theory analysis. Applying the method of grounding current to on-line monitor the insulation conditions of cross-linked XLPE electrical cable. The simulation result from MATLAB program confirms the practicability and the probability of this method, accounting the current of insulation and impedance of it. It is proofed that it is an effective and novel way of the on-line monitoring of the insulation conditions on XLPE electrical cable.
