Abstract :
This paper presents a frequency method based on Nyquist´s criterion to test the stability of ordinary differential equations (ODE) and fractional differential equations (FDE). Though these differential equations are in open loop, it is possible to apply Nyquist´s criterion owing to the closed loop nature of the simulation scheme. This method also applies to systems with time delays, either in ODE or FDE form.
