Abstract :
In this paper, we are interested in a segmentation method integrating a priori knowledge of shape, that of active deformable shapes known as ASM (Active Shape Model). We have proposed to add to this method one extra constraint related to the objects´ position within the image. The constraint stems from a fuzzy logic modelling phase which we´ve led on a learning set on the distance between objects. The proposed model allows the reduction of ASM sensibility at the initialization and the presence of noise. The tests performed on synthesis and real images, including two or more objects, have indicated the proposed model´s performance.
