Abstract :
A novel start-up circuit with simple topology used in boost DC-DC converters is presented. Its minimum start-up supply voltage is as low as 1V. It can meet the needs of low supply voltage and low dissipation. The paper introduces the spirit of design in detail, and presents the actual circuit finally. This circuit is designed on the basis of Hynix 0.5mum CMOS process, and its performance has been verified by Hspice simulation
