Abstract
It aims to develop an extensible, scalable and portable software providing specific solutions for a lorry maintenance line using heterogeneous robots. The core of the software is C++ RTCORBA, it serves as main bone for communication, scheduling and computing, C++ and Java RMI serves in client side for comprehensive management applications. It expatiates at length on the software design and implement based on the test-bed including two Motoman HP6 manipulators and one AGV, the software employs two-tier server and design considerations are given. Then system´s CORBA IDL design are described and given. System interface is friendly and easily operated with high transplantability and maintainability and easily to be updated. The successful development of this system offered a better technical route for the heterogeneous robots system.
