  • Abstract
    Medium-voltage power line carrier communication technology is economical and practical way for 10 kV distribution power line. This paper presents the whole architecture of medium-voltage power line carrier communication system, and the hardware and software design of the carrier modulate/demodulate are described in detail. Especially, the carrier modulate-demodulate adopted the double carrier frequency auto-switching design, carrier modem relay function and some methods to improve signal-noise rate, which increase transmission reliability for long-distance transmission. The presented medium-voltage power line carrier communication system has been used in various distribution network automation system. It is an economical and feasible communication means.
