Abstract
Information about stance related skin contact forces was extracted from cuff recordings of human neural signals. Forces measured from the skin under the heel during standing were scaled and applied to the innervation area of the sural nerve. The neural response to the stimuli was measured with a cuff. Using an artificial neural network forces were extracted from the nerve signal with a goodness of fit of 60-93% and may be applicable as feedback signals in control of standing
