Abstract
The main aim of this paper is to investigate the similarities in knowledge management (KM) practices in supply chain (SC) among different selected sectors of Indian manufacturing organizations through formulation and testing of some hypotheses. A questionnaire-based survey was conducted on four sectors namely Automobile (Auto), Engineering, Process and FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods). The findings of the sectorial analysis show that selected sectors do not significantly differ on use of various channels in managing the explicit knowledge of SC, use of KM in improving SC efficiency and its SC effectiveness.
