Abstract
A new sliding mode controllers is designed and analyzed for DC-DC converters. It incorporates the part state information feedback and input voltage feedforward. With the adaptive sliding surface, the controller can give satisfactory control effect under operating point changes and parameter uncertainties. One main advantage of this controller is that it is based on the large signal model of DC-DC converters. Therefore, its stability is not restricted by the size of the variations around the operating point. The controller was successfully applied on buck and Luo converters in this paper. Simulation results are given in the paper and the controller´s behavior under different operations is worth of notification. Stability of the controller was also verified for buck converters. At last, the paper also presented a simplified controller with same good control effect.
