Abstract
Sagittal plane gait analysis was performed on 6 normal children (mean age 7.5±1.2) and on 4 children (mean age 8.3±1.2) with myelomeningocele (ML) at the low lumbo-sacral level (L5-S2). Temporal distance parameters and kinematics variables were calculated after digitized video recordings of the subjects. Children with ML show stance phase and double limb support greater than normal. Angles values for the lower limb segments confirm the weakness of triceps and quadriceps muscles for myelomeningocele
