Abstract
Persistent effects of muscle activation on the stretch reflex were assessed by comparing responses to pulse displacements applied before and after a period of voluntary contraction and/or random perturbation. Substantial changes in the shape and amplitude of the response were found to persist for more than 60 seconds following activation
